Jura Legris Flange Ag 1/8 4mm

Legris connector 1/8 4mm, stainless steel.  Used in older model Jura home espresso machines.  

In older Jura E models, legris connector is screwed into old style boiler for water inlet from membrane regulator/pump to the boiler via PTFE tube.  Due to lack of descaling, the legris connector and PTFE tube gets corroded and starts to leak resulting in poor water flow and no coffee.  PTFE tube from pump to boiler is 122mm in length and sold separately.

In C3000, S and X models, the 2 legris connectors are installed on the steam solenoid valve as inlet and outlet.

1- Descale the machine every two or three months, for optimum water temperature and full jet of steam. Regular descaling helps to eliminate 70% of malfunctions and extends the life of the machine. It is the single most important maintenance for all espresso machines. Cleancaf, Cafiza, Joe Glow, Brew Rite, Pulycaff are products sold as descaler but they contain only Baking soda which is totally ineffective. Click Here to order Guru's choice Best descaler #DSC-6, available on this Internet store. Make sure the espresso side of the machine is descaled. Automated electronic descaling does not clean espresso side of the machine.

Use of Vinegar, R.O water or Distilled water does not eliminate descaling. It damages the boiler wall and gaskets.

2- Avoid using dark roast oily beans. Oily beans and fine powdery grind setting makes over extracted coffee and clogs coffee grinder, cause malfunctions and damage to grinder. Strong Coffee is made with less water (2-Oz or less).

3- Do not refrigerate beans. They absorb moisture and clog and rust the grinder burrs. Clean coffee grinder (Built in or stand alone) every three months.
